Why Androids Hang, How To Fix Them

Average computer / smartphone users purchase phones without critically judging their purchase by certain specifications.

I'm not an average user, and two primary specifications I check out when choosing a phone are the Battery Life in Amperes and RAM.

Now, your android device hangs when its available RAM for use gets low. RAM, being its Random Access "Memory" controls how fast your device "remembers" what it is doing and how to continue doing that thing at any given time. So the higher your available RAM space, the faster your phone can recall and continue processing.

So How Do You Ensure That Your RAM Stays High And Your Phone Stays Fast?

- Always check out the available used and free memory and kill irrelevant background activities manually.

- Users with root access can uninstall system apps who are large memory consumers like Facebook and install a lighter version like Facebook Lite.

- Users without and with root access can use RAM Booster applications to automatically clear running apps at intervals.

- Users with root access should install a 3rd party app, preferably Greenify and use Greenify to hibernate apps that are not in use. Use this method alongside a RAM Booster app to achieve the best result.
